We decided to take the family on a trip to London. We all researched hotels to see which one we wanted to stay at and all decided on Corus Hotel Hyde Park. It is in a great location just down from the tube and we had a great view of Hyde Park! It was also close to down town London so the Tube ride wasn’t very long which was good since we were with out 7 and 8 year old son and daughter. They had so much fun in London and cant stop talking about it! Our highlight of our trip was all the great Museums that are in London! It not only was a great way to spend our vacation but the kids as well as the two of us really learned alot about London! We would recommend a trip to London to anyone! The kids already tell all their friends about it!

The last time I went backpacking through Europe I made it a point to take a few train tours to see some of the most intimate areas of several different countries. Taking the train while backpacking through Europe is no doubt the most affordable and exciting way to get from point A to point B.

Rail travel is my favorite for a variety of different reasons, but most importantly because it is much more comfortable than riding on a bus or airplane. It is also a great place to meet fellow travelers and trade stories of your latest adventure. Often times while exchanging stories with a fellow backpacker, you can learn of new destinations that you won’t find in any guide book.

On top of all that, taking the train is the perfect way to get a look at the more scenic areas of Europe. It is an iconic, exciting, and memorable way to travel and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
