How To Properly Mount Any Type Of Hardware Mounted Baby Gates
Making sure you properly mount any style of hardware mounted baby gates is critical for being sure the gate is safe and secure. It doesn’t matter if it is baby gates for stairs or a gate going in a bedroom, you want to make sure it is properly set in place.
I’ve heard a lot of stories from parents over the years that simply mounted the gate to the drywall and screwed it in that way. The very next thing that happens is that the gate breaks loose. There is little wonder why, the drywall doesn’t have the strength to hold a baby gate.
The trick here is to be sure and find a stud to fasten the gate hardware to. Something like a simple stud finder tool can help you know precisely where the studs are located. Then screw into the studs and you have a safe set up. The only exception to this rule would be if you are using one of the baby gate installation kits that are designed for use on drywall.
