The 16-U Royal team played at Grand Blanc High School on Saturday, May 9. They beat Genesee 25-17, 25-14 and Oakland 25-13, 25-11, splitting with Ultimate 25-9, 15-25. Their 5-1 pool play advanced them to the Gold Division bracket. Losing in semi-finals to Crusaders 9-25, 15-25. Playing were Kayla Mullins, Mallory McFarland, Jordan Fedorchak, Lauren Plotzke, Kirsten Kareus, Laura Walker, Abbie Marsh, Katherine Milholland, Taylor Goik and Caitlin Viele. They are coached by Bob Sells.
The 16-U Navy team played at Mott Community College on Sunday, May 10. They lost to Marysville 10-25, 16-25 and Extreme Tesia 16-25, 18-25, beating Valley E Navy 25-15, 25-12. Their 2-4 pool play moved them to Silver Division playoff where they beat Extreme Brittany 25-13, 23-25, 15-3 and Valley E Red 16-25, 25-13, 15-8 to win the Silver Division. Playing were Caci Luczak, Molly Zimmermann, Erin Hollerback, Jordan Card, Hannah Zimmermann and Heather Pollick. They are coached by Bob Sells.
