Wicked Good!

The 12-U Fastbreak team went 6-0 to win the 12-U Division at the US vs Canada Border Challenge last weekend at Eastern Michigan University. In pool play they beat Waterford Wave 33-22, Motor City Suns 31-26, and Toledo Elite 58-20. In bracket play they beat Toronto Triple Threat 51-19 in the Quarterfinals, and went on to beat Michigan Shock 45-28 in the Semi Finals. In the Championship Game they knocked off Ypsilanti Sting 33-19. Team members are: Lily Hami, Meredith Hamlet, Karli Herrington, Ellie Juengel, Chloee King, Halee Neiman, Jordan Raes, Mallory Rajewski, Jessica Walter and Lindsay Winter.

The 16-U team also went 6-0 to win the 16-U Division. The beat Michigan Legacy 42-12 (Emma Holmi had 11 pts), Grand Rapids Storm 40-18 (Becca Mills had 11 pts) and Legion Select 44-26 (Emma Holmi had 10 pts) in pool play. In bracket play the beat Indiana Rebels 53-48 (Jessica Peatross had 19 pts) and Taylor Hot Shots 54-41 (Becca Mills had 22 pts). They topped it off with a win over the Michigan Pistons 35-25 (Kelly Dineen had 13 pts) for the Championship Title. Team members are Kelly Dineen, Keyla Engelhard, Jessi Franz, Emma Holmi, Jessica Jarema, Becca Mills, Jessica Peatross, Nicole Peterson, Katy Pett and Allie Wylie.

The 14-U team won five of six games to claim the runner up position in the 14-U Division. They beat Motor City Suns 53-28; Spiece Gym Rats 35-24; Michigan Rage 49-27; North Oakland Wolfpack 30-22 and Michigan Mystics 46-31. The only loss came in the Championship game to the Spiece Gym Rats(A) 30-38. Midland Fastbreak 14-U team members are Tiarra Carter, Katie Gengler, Tori Jankoska, Jennifer Jarema, Jamie Austin, Maura McAffee, Emilie Prezter, Paige Raes, Mikayla Russell and Brittany Watson.
